Swopnil Clo

One of one, twice loved

A thrift market in the Philippines, a promise, and a rack of jackets in Nepal.

Where it started

NepalPhilippines

The idea for Swopnil Clo was born in the Philippines. Swopnil kept running into ukay-ukay, the country's much-loved thrift markets. There were stalls and shops packed with secondhand clothes, and sometimes whole buildings given over to them, floor after floor of racks.

People of every age were digging through jackets, denim and old sportswear, and walking out with pieces that had more character than anything in a mall. Secondhand wasn't a compromise there. It was the most exciting way to shop.

Standing in one of those buildings, he made himself a promise: when he got back to Nepal, he would build the same thing at home.

Bringing it home

Swopnil Clo is that promise. It started with a single rack of handpicked jackets, and every drop since has been chosen the same way: one piece at a time, for quality, character and a brand worth knowing. The dream is still the one he brought back from the Philippines, a place in Nepal where thrifting feels like a treasure hunt, not a last resort.

Our mission

We believe good style shouldn't cost the earth. Our mission is to make secondhand the first choice, not the backup plan, and to prove that a thrift shop can feel as considered and exciting as any boutique.

How we choose

Everything is inspected, cleaned and condition-rated by hand before it goes on the rack. We note any flaws up front, so what you see online is exactly what you get.

Sustainability

Every piece we sell is one that didn't end up in a landfill. We hand-pick everything ourselves: no mass ordering, no overproduction. We reuse packaging wherever we can, and we're working toward fully plastic-free deliveries.

Meet the team

Swopnil Clo is run by a small crew who'd rather be at a thrift market than a mall. Swopnil leads sourcing and the shop's day-to-day, and a small circle of friends helps with packing, photography and running our pop-ups. We're small on purpose. It means every piece gets a proper look before it reaches you.
